Andrew Gideon, Chief Technical Officer / Vice President
Andrew has over 25 years of experience in the computing industry, primarily involved in software development. He also has an extensive history in dealing with distributed and networked computing, made popular by the commercialization of the Internet.
Recruited for a distributed computing project funded by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in the mid 80s, Andrew has long been responsible for taking new and exciting ideas and converting these into working and useful products.
In addition to his experience in managing technical staff, he has also spent several years teaching a variety of computing topics, ranging from the introductory level to highly advanced design techniques, at both the corporate and academic level.
He has consulted to several well-known corporations, including AT&T, JP Morgan, AIG, and Merrill Lynch.
In 1990, he co-founded a software development and training company, TAG Systems. This has evolved into TAG Online, a web design, development, and hosting company. TAG Online runs its own networking facility for both shared and private servers, with several Fiber and Wireless circuits into multiple Internet backbones. This redundant connectivity in a facility under his direct control is indicative of the level of quality Andrew has inculcated into the culture at TAG Online.
Andrew holds both a M.S. in Computer Science from New York University and a B.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
